Watch out YouTube!
I recently re-launched my channel, and I am really enjoying creating videos for you. While being home during the pandemic, I wanted a way to reach out and connect with others, so I started regularly posting not only to my social media profiles but also on my YouTube channel Amy Roloff’s Little Kitchen. I’ve been working with my team to create recipe videos, clips from my Lives, along with lots of new ideas we’re working on!
Talking About Staying Positive
During quarantine, it’s been difficult to stay positive and productive, between staying home, being away from family and friends, and not filming LPBW, we’ve been out of our normal routine, and I knew many others were just like me. My friend Lisa Dixon and I sat down for a great chat — we discussed feeling sad over big milestones like canceled proms and missed birthdays. It’s okay to feel down or sad about missed events and opportunities, just as long as you don’t stay down.
But First, Dessert!
The best part about making YouTube videos is that Chris and I get to make them together. He films while I cook and then, of course, we both get to eat. Talk about the perfect relationship!
This is my classic cheesecake recipe that I made for Chris for Easter. It’s a yummy, yet simple cheesecake that pairs well with just about anything.
Who doesn’t love chocolate cake? It’s just so good and always hits the right spot. I’ll tell you a secret, I have a great chocolate cake recipe that includes a secret ingredient I bet you enjoy every single day. Watch and find out what it is!
It’s Dinner Time!
When Jeremy and Audrey recently came over for dinner, I made this BBQ Brisket and oh my, it was so good! This brisket takes about four hours to cook, so you really do need to plan ahead for this particular dinner, but I promise you it’s worth the wait, and once it’s in the oven, you’ll have plenty of time to get ready, make a fun appetizer or three, and maybe set a cute table. Jeremy and Audrey loved this brisket and I really enjoyed making it for them.
YouTube is a fun outlet for me and my cooking creativity, as well as chatting with friends about LPBW and world events. Thank you to all my subscribers, you’re the best part of being on YouTube. If you haven’t checked out my YouTube channel yet, Amy Roloff’s Little Kitchen, what are you waiting for? I promise you’ll have fun and learn some tasty new dishes to share with your friends and family! Be sure to subscribe and ring that bell so you get notified every time I post a new video!
